“BARBIE STREAMHOUSE”
“Verizon Internet now powers every inch of Barbie’s home” - Rolling Stone
Challenge
Most people associate Verizon with phones and their mobile network. Home Internet? Not so much. We needed to revive demand for the brand’s least in demand product, while showing up in a completely different way from competitors.
Strategy
Our critical reframe: Selling possibility. Not just routers. Show American families what powerful Verizon home internet can unlock all throughout the home. The key? By partnering with a home that is universally loved (so much so that one is sold every 2 mins), and a figure who is the ultimate symbol of possibility: Barbie and her Dreamhouse.
Creative
Despite having everything from 1962, the Dreamhouse was stuck in a pre-internet era… Equipping it with Verizon, we turned the Dreamhouse into the Streamhouse and used an iconic film, limited-edition router, and an IRL activation to put on the most epic product demo turned cultural moment ever.
